That is how you could describe me in one word. Ever since I can remember animals have played an important role in my life. A lot of love was given to our dogs and cats, a goat was saved from the slaughter and then grew up in our backyard and a very large cage was built for the rabbits, which I provided with (a little too much) straw.
Drawing is also something that has been introduced to our home. We used to sit at the table as a family, all with a sheet of paper in front of us and the pencils scattered across the tabletop.
I decided to combine these two factors and to start drawing animal portraits. And I cannot describe how beautiful it is that people are happy or moved when they see their pet on paper. I draw with a lot of fun and I can't think of a better hobby!

Did you know that I support a good cause with my drawings? At the moment this is animal shelter Lamana owned by Sofie Senden. She is committed to abused, neglected and dumped animals. From a kid that actually had to be slaughtered because of an overbite, to a neglected pig and from a donkey with Lyme disease to a sheep with deformed legs, Sofie takes care of them. These animals all live in her shelter at home and stay there for their entire lives. The money is not only needed for nutrition and care, but also for medication and the many vet visits that take place. And you can help too! Whether you buy a commissioned drawing, an original work, or products with prints, I donate 10% of my proceeds to the shelter.

TOTAL AMOUNT DONATED TO CHARITIES
I make pencil drawings on commission, where I deliver a portrait as realistic as possible based on a photo of your animal. I strive to get the character of the animal on paper as well as possible. This is a time-consuming process and requires the very best materials to draw the animal as realistically as possible. For this reason, I always ask for a 25% advance payment
I use Faber Castell colored pencils, type Polychromos. These pencils are made on an oil base, so that many layers can be built up. S
The paper I draw on is from PastelMat. This is sturdy, acid-free paper that is resistant to aging. There is a choice of different colors for the portrait of your animal.
